Itinerary – Scotland Self-Drive Culinary and Whisky Tour

Start in Glasgow, where city grit meets gourmet flair. Hop aboard a red Routemaster bus for Afternoon Tea on wheels or take in the city with an open-top tour. At Tennent’s Brewery, tap into centuries of brewing tradition—your first toast to Scotland’s legendary libations.

Then it’s off to Oban, where the sea meets the stills. Explore one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries with an included tasting session. Afterwards, let the charming port town tempt your palate—Oban is famed for its ultra-fresh seafood. Picture the ocean on a plate, served in cozy waterfront eateries. In Speyside, Scotland’s whisky capital, choose your own sipping adventure with iconic names like Glenfiddich, Macallan, and Glenlivet. Don’t miss the Speyside Cooperage, where oak barrels are still handcrafted the old way—because some things shouldn’t be rushed.

Your journey continues through Royal Deeside with a pause for Highland Cattle and local fare, before heading south for smoky Arbroath delicacies and creamy cheese straight from the farm. In Edinburgh, the grand finale awaits: castle views, cultural pubs, and a proper Scottish night of haggis, live music, and local lore.

We’ve woven in musts—like Oban Distillery and an Edinburgh pub crawl—but the soul of this tour is in the spontaneous. Linger longer at that market stall, take a back road to a village café, or toast the Highlands under an open sky. With daily breakfast, charming 4-star accommodations, and your wheels ready, this isn’t just travel—it’s a story told through taste.
